Iron Sharpens Iron

The anointing is the Holy Spirit. He flows through the heart of believers to touch peoples lives. God anoints people with various gifts according to his will. I Corinth 12: 4-12 Eph: 4 11-16. When your with other believers look for the fruit of their lives, where they make an impact and effect real change does this speak to your heart? Do you want what they have? If so ask for it. God will give it to you if your reason for wanting it is to use the power to glorify Him and serve. It does not come cheap or easy not a real anointing ask Elisha. You have to have staying power.

The anointing is not given for the vessel it flows through but for the vessel it flows to. The anointing is Power and you have to have died sufficiently to self to move in it because there is pleasure and great joy in the anointing and some people sense the power and think it is for them and it can cause them to fall away if they are not sfficiently dead to themselves. As Paul put it keeping themselves under subjection. So as it says in Hebrews 12: 11-13 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

So pray put on the full armor of God Eph6: 10-20 and look for it what God has anointed you to do. You will know because when you do that it makes a real impact and the Holy Spirit produces change. Remember the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy and he would like nothing better that to steal your life doing things that you are not anointed to do.
